LASO, a logistics company, has successfully completed a complex transport operation, moving a large generator from the Port of Funchal to Paul da Serra.
The transport, which took place over two nights, involved careful planning to ensure safety and efficiency. The generator, measuring 6 meters in width, was moved using a specialized 45-meter-long piece of equipment with 134 wheels. This allowed for better stability and adaptability to Madeira’s winding roads. LASO’s logistics team coordinated the operation to minimize disruptions to traffic, ensuring each stage was completed on schedule.
Given the challenging nature of the route, with its winding and narrow roads, LASO carried out a thorough route analysis to guarantee the generator’s safe passage. Detailed planning and seamless coordination were key in overcoming obstacles and maintaining the integrity of the equipment.
LASO’s project coordinator praised the team’s professionalism, saying the operation highlighted the company’s ability to handle technical and logistical challenges. The company’s commitment to excellence and innovation continues to make it a reliable partner for complex transportation projects.
