This strategic contribution aims to bolster Niger’s electricity access, enhancing services for homes and businesses and fostering economic growth and development in the West African nation.

The 22.5-megawatt generators were received by Niger’s Energy Minister, Professor Amadou Haoua. The Moroccan donation underscores the enduring friendship between the two countries and is poised to enhance energy stability in the Sub-Saharan region.

Niger, a Sahel country, has joined the Royal initiative, which aims to provide Atlantic access to African landlocked nations. This initiative is set to drive regional development, improve connectivity, and boost trade, promoting shared prosperity across the Sahel region.

Morocco’s African policy emphasizes South-South cooperation and solidarity, focusing on inclusive regional socioeconomic development. The policy addresses key areas such as food security, climate change resilience, capacity building, technology transfer, and the promotion of security and regional peace and stability.
