In an audacious theft, the battery of a generator installed at the new Court complex in Malalawadi, Jayanagar, Mysuru, was stolen. The generator, crucial for preventing disruptions during frequent power failures, was discovered to be non-functional about a week ago when it failed to switch on automatically during a power outage.

Court staff immediately contacted the individual who had installed the generator. An electrician was dispatched to inspect the equipment, revealing the theft of the battery.

A complaint was lodged by the Chief Accounts Officer of the Senior Civil Judge and CJM Court. Ashokapuram Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
