With this platform, Haas typically receives financing decisions in just 30 seconds, all while maintaining access to a dedicated account manager for expert guidance. Haas Automation, one of the world’s largest machine tool manufacturers, produces over 18,000 machines annually. The company’s product lines include vertical machining centres (VMCs), horizontal machining centres (HMCs), CNC lathes, and rotary tables.

At its modern headquarters in Norwich, the Haas UK team provides in-house financing solutions for manufacturing businesses, making it easier for them to acquire Haas machinery without stretching their budgets.

Tim Ross, business finance manager at Haas Financial Services, explained the benefits of working with SFS: “Siemens, the parent company of SFS, manufactures CNC controls, giving the team a deep understanding of the machine tool industry. Several years ago, Haas decided to move away from traditional methods, where applications were made by phone or email. Now, most deals are processed through the SieSmart portal, with approvals or referrals typically happening within 30 seconds.

For more complicated or unique requests, Haas can still reach out to SFS directly. Ross noted, “Some weeks we only call the SFS team once, but other times we call daily for more complex deals. They’re always willing to help. After years of working together, we understand each other well, making conversations smoother.”

Once an application is submitted and documents are verified, payments are often processed the same day. Stefania Moruzzi, business development manager for UK Industry and Machine Tools at SFS, shared, “We complete all our checks upfront, ensuring there are no surprises or delays when it comes to payment.
