Rainford Precision Ltd is set to demonstrate its expertise in micro-machining at the upcoming Manufacturing Solutions Ireland exhibition in Limerick, which will take place on June 11 and 12 at the Technological University of Shannon (TUS). The company will exhibit its advanced technology at Stand 8 in the Lobby Zone.
At the exhibition, Rainford Precision will showcase bespoke solutions for Irish manufacturers. These include the Kern range of ultra-precise five-axis machining centers, Finepart micro-abrasive waterjet cutting technology, and high-quality cutting tools from top global brands.
Kern is known for delivering exceptional precision with its machine tools, which can achieve a level of repeatability and accuracy of +/-1µm in five-axis machining. Rainford Precision will highlight the speed, precision, and productivity of Kern machines and discuss their use in industries that demand the highest standards of precision.
In addition, engineers from Rainford will present Finepart’s micro-abrasive waterjet cutting technology. The Finepart machines, available in three, four, and five-axis versions, are designed for micro-precision work. They offer positional accuracy of +/-2.5µm, repeatability of +/-2µm, and typical cutting tolerances of +/-10µm.
For the first time in Ireland, Rainford will also introduce the PEMTec brand. PEMTec is a global leader in precision electrochemical metal machining (PECM), a process that allows for the machining of metal parts with sub-micron accuracy and repeatability. The process achieves a surface quality of 0.03µm, all without direct contact.
Rainford will also feature the new Benzinger range of turning centers, known for their precision, repeatability, productivity, and flexibility. These German-engineered machines uphold Rainford Precision’s reputation for high-quality performance.
Additionally, Rainford will present cutting tools from some of the world’s most prestigious brands, such as Union Tool, Louis Bélet, Delmeco, Gloor, HOBE, Osawa, DTS, Iwata, 6C Tools, Swissceramill, and ATOM. These tools include drills, end mills, reamers, boring bars, threadmills, and slitting saws, designed for various specialized applications and material types. One standout is the Hufschmied brand, whose Graftor range of end mills is specifically designed for machining graphite. These tools can double both productivity and tool life compared to competing products.
Rainford Precision has also invested in a Keyence digital microscope, enhancing its ability to provide detailed tool investigations and consultancy services to customers in the UK and Ireland.
