Shivtek Spechemi Industries has announced an investment of ₹650 crore to establish two new manufacturing plants in Gujarat and Rajasthan. The investment is aimed at expanding the company’s production capacity and increasing its market presence both in India and internationally.
The new Gujarat plant will be located near Hazira port, ensuring better logistics and improved export connectivity. The Rajasthan unit will serve northern markets, benefiting from its proximity to major distribution networks.
With the addition of these new plants, Shivtek’s production capacity will increase significantly, from 1.5 lakh metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) to 6.5 lakh MTPA. The company expects the new plants to create more than 500 jobs within three years of their operation.
Currently, Shivtek operates three plants: one in Dahej, Gujarat, with a capacity of 1,12,800 MTPA; one in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, with 22,800 MTPA; and one in Rajpura, Punjab, with 14,400 MTPA. The new units will be built on approximately 100 acres of land, with construction set to begin in 2026. The facilities are expected to start commercial production between 2028 and 2029.
“These plants will improve our operational efficiency and help expand our product range while maintaining high environmental standards,” said Amitt Nenwani, Managing Director of Shivtek Spechemi Industries.
The new facilities will also mark the first domestic production of several high-grade chlorinated compounds, which will reduce India’s reliance on imports and strengthen its position in the global chemical market.
Shivtek Spechemi, established in 1987, is a leading Indian manufacturer and exporter of specialty chemicals, including plasticizers, chlorinated paraffins, hydrochloric acid, and solvents. The company currently operates three plants across India with a total capacity of 1,50,000 MTPA.
