WorldOne Energies, a renewable energy firm with roots in both Canada and India, has launched a new 1.2 gigawatt (GW) solar module manufacturing facility in Nagpur. The plant will produce high-efficiency N-type TOPCon mono-bifacial modules, part of its Supreme Series, with capacities ranging from 525 to 650 watts peak (Wp).
The advanced production line is designed for speed and efficiency. It operates approximately 33% faster than conventional domestic lines, which means more modules can be produced in less time. The facility also features the largest chamber laminators in India, enabling a higher number of modules to be processed per cycle without sacrificing quality.
These new modules use 144 or 156 half-cut solar cells and can reach efficiency levels of up to 23.26%. This makes them suitable for a wide range of uses, including residential rooftops, commercial buildings, and large-scale solar farms.
The expansion is part of the company’s Vision 2030 roadmap. WorldOne Energies aims to significantly increase its solar manufacturing capacity. Plans are already underway to build a 2 GW solar cell production line, which can be scaled up to 5 GW. The company also plans to grow its module production capacity to 10 GW.
Beyond solar modules, WorldOne Energies offers energy storage systems, advanced inverters, and hybrid energy solutions. These products help stabilize power supply and improve energy efficiency across various applications.
The company is focusing on sustainable growth and aims to support India’s clean energy transition. Its goal is to make renewable energy more accessible while helping reduce global carbon emissions.
Founded in 2016, WorldOne Energies is headquartered in Ontario, Canada, and has a strong manufacturing base in Nagpur. The company provides a full range of solar services, including Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC), as well as Operations and Maintenance (O&M).
Today, WorldOne Energies operates across more than 10 countries and has a manufacturing capacity of 10 GW. It offers solar solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Its strategy includes integrating energy storage to promote responsible energy use and support global climate goals.
In a major move to expand its influence in India, WorldOne Energies recently acquired a 96.42% stake in Jindal Power Limited. Jindal operates 3.4 GW of coal-fired power plants in Chhattisgarh. The acquisition aligns with WorldOne’s long-term aim of reducing emissions while improving access to energy.
