Stacie Sire Appointed Vice President and Managing Director of Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center

Boeing has appointed Stacie Sire as Vice President and Managing Director of the Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC), along with the role of Chief Engineer for Boeing India. She takes over from Ahmed Elsherbini, who held the position from April 2021 until January 2025.

Sire, based in Bengaluru, will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and daily operations of BIETC. Her role includes enhancing the center’s contributions to Boeing’s global engineering efforts while driving innovation and supporting the company’s long-term growth in India.

Elsherbini has moved to a new role as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Boeing Global Engineering. Commenting on the appointment, he said, “We’re excited to welcome Stacie to this role. With her 27 years of leadership and engineering experience at Boeing, she is a perfect fit. Her knowledge of complex systems, teamwork, and passion for innovation will help us build a globally integrated engineering organization.”

Sire expressed excitement about her new position, stating, “It’s a great time to be part of Boeing’s journey in India. I am excited to collaborate with a talented team and focus on safety, engineering excellence, and innovation as we continue our mission in aerospace and defense.”

Sire began her career at Boeing as a structural engineer and has since held leadership positions in stress analysis, airframe systems, propulsion, and integration engineering. She has served as director and chief engineer on various programs, including the 787, 767, and 777. Most recently, she was Senior Director of Engineering for fabrication, overseeing global support for 20 manufacturing units.
