QNu Labs, a prominent startup supported by India’s Department of Science and Technology under the National Quantum Mission (NQM), has launched QShield™, the world’s first all-encompassing quantum-safe security platform. The announcement, made on World Quantum Day, marks a key milestone in advancing India’s position in the global quantum technology race.
QShield™ is built on QNu Labs’ proprietary technologies, including Armos (Quantum Key Distribution), Tropos (Quantum Random Number Generator), Quantum Hardware Security Module (QHSM), and post-quantum cryptographic standards. Together, these tools offer a comprehensive, scalable solution for securing data both in transit and at rest.
The platform is designed for enterprise-wide adoption, providing a range of services such as Qosmos for key generation, QConnect for secure communications, QVerse for protected collaboration, QSFS for secure file storage, and QVault for key management. With these services, QShield™ ensures seamless integration, centralized control, and flexible deployment, allowing organizations to easily transition to quantum-resilient infrastructure.
Sunil Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO of QNu Labs, emphasized the urgency of preparing for quantum computing. “The quantum computing era is arriving sooner than expected,” he said. “With QShield™, we’re offering a practical, subscription-based solution that helps enterprises protect their digital assets, both now and in the future. Launching this platform in India under the National Quantum Mission shows our dedication to creating locally developed technology with global relevance.”
Founded in 2016 at the IIT Madras Research Park, QNu Labs is revolutionizing cybersecurity with quantum-safe encryption solutions. The company’s patented products provide cutting-edge key generation and distribution, meeting internationally recognized cryptographic standards. QNu Labs continues to lead the charge in protecting digital infrastructure from both current and emerging cyber threats.
