Daimler Truck Holding has announced the appointment of Karin Rådström as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2024. Rådström, who will serve under a contract extending to January 31, 2029, succeeds Martin Daum, who is stepping down from the role.
Daum, who has led Daimler Truck through significant transitions, will continue as a full member of the Board of Management until the end of 2024 to ensure a smooth transition.
Rådström has been a prominent figure at Daimler Truck since joining the Board of Management in 2021, where she has been instrumental in advancing the profitability of Mercedes-Benz Trucks and steering the company towards enhanced sustainability. Prior to her tenure at Daimler Truck, she held key positions at Scania, including Executive Board member overseeing Sales & Marketing and Senior Vice President of Buses & Coaches.
Joe Kaeser, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, expressed enthusiasm about Rådström’s appointment, highlighting her extensive industry knowledge and leadership capabilities. “Karin Rådström’s exceptional ability to drive brand transformation in a challenging environment makes her an ideal choice for CEO.
