Advanced Construction Robotics (ACR), a leader in autonomous robotic technology, has announced the release of the third generation of its rebar-tying robot, TyBOT. Set to be available for purchase and delivery by the first quarter of 2025, TyBOT 3.0 marks a significant upgrade from its predecessors.

Initially offered through ACR’s Robot as a Service (RaaS) model, TyBOT has now transitioned to a direct purchase model. Launched nearly six years ago, TyBOT was ACR’s inaugural product and has since revolutionized roadbuilding and bridge construction with its advanced rebar-tying capabilities.

The latest iteration, TyBOT 3.0, boasts a standard working width of 67 feet, expandable up to 117 feet. The robot is designed to efficiently tie rebar at speeds exceeding 1,200 ties per hour, utilizing a 15-pound wire spool. It handles both epoxy-coated and black bar rebar without the need for pre-mapping, calibration, or Building Information Modeling (BIM) inputs.

ACR ensures that clients receive comprehensive training to effectively deploy, configure, supervise, and maintain TyBOT from day one. Additionally, the company offers a “Service Platform Subscription,” providing users with access to a live data portal and advanced software features for enhanced operational insights.

The third-generation TyBOT also includes optional accessories, such as multiple travel modes for non-bridge projects and a carry function add-on for efficient material transport.

Danielle Proctor, President and CEO of ACR, highlighted the robot’s success and growing demand: “With over 65 field deployments nationwide, TyBOT has consistently delivered at least 25% savings in rebar installation operations. Its effectiveness has established it as a trusted tool among rodbusters, and the demand continues to rise.”

TyBOT 3.0 represents a leap forward in construction technology, promising increased efficiency and cost savings in the rebar installation process.
