The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has unveiled an exciting opportunity for the public to engage with the U.S. manufacturing sector while vying for a chance to win a Ford F-150 pickup truck.

The Manufacturing Express initiative marks AEM’s most extensive public engagement campaign in its 130-year history, with plans to visit 80 equipment manufacturers across 20 states. This ambitious tour aims to spotlight the vital contributions of the 2.3 million individuals employed within the equipment manufacturing industry, allowing the public to learn about and celebrate their roles.

“This tour is designed to acknowledge the essential contributions of U.S. equipment manufacturers and to engage the public in a fun and interactive manner,” said Wade Balkonis, AEM’s director of Grassroots Advocacy. “Through the Manufacturing Challenge, we’re providing a unique opportunity to raise awareness of our industry and offering participants a chance to win one of the most iconic vehicles in America — the Ford F-150.”

Participants can join the Manufacturing Challenge, an industry-themed online video game that tests their knowledge through a series of trivia questions related to the equipment manufacturing sector. High-scoring players will be entered to win the grand prize of a Ford F-150. The game is accessible both at tour stops and online, making it available to a nationwide audience.

Currently making its way through the Midwest, the Manufacturing Express tour will conclude with its final stop at Komatsu in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on October 18. AEM highlights that equipment manufacturing in Wisconsin supports over 180,000 jobs and contributes nearly $22 billion to the state’s economy annually. Recent stops on the tour include:

  • Kuhn North America in Brodhead
  • Kondex in Lomira
  • CNH in Racine
  • Wacker Neuson in Menomonee Falls
  • Super Products in Mukwonago
  • Husco in Waukesha

The Manufacturing Express tour serves as a platform to showcase the industry’s $316 billion contribution to the U.S. economy. As an essential initiative during a pivotal election year, the tour seeks to emphasize bipartisan policies that promote the growth and success of equipment manufacturing companies and their workforce.
