The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) has announced that Martin Lundstedt, President and CEO of Volvo Group, will deliver a keynote address at CES 2025, one of the world’s premier tech events. Scheduled for Jan. 7-10 in Las Vegas, Lundstedt will take the stage on Jan. 8 to highlight the future of sustainable transportation and Volvo Group’s strategic innovations.
In his keynote, Lundstedt will discuss the company’s commitment to advancing sustainability through electrification, connectivity, and automation. He is expected to unveil Volvo Group’s multi-faceted approach to achieving fossil-free transportation by leveraging three key technologies: battery-electric vehicles, hydrogen fuel cells, and combustion engines powered by renewable biofuels.
Lundstedt will emphasize that a comprehensive, systemic approach is needed across the entire value chain to ensure the successful implementation of these clean technologies. “We are honored to take the stage at CES and highlight the impact our technological advancements will have on our industry and society at large,” said Lundstedt. “Transforming mobility is a full-scale societal issue, and while we have the necessary technology, enabling conditions are essential for society to fully benefit from fossil-free transport and infrastructure solutions.”
The keynote will also outline Volvo Group’s roadmap to achieving net-zero value chain greenhouse gas emissions by 2040. Lundstedt’s presentation will explore how the company is integrating sustainable practices throughout its operations to meet this ambitious target.
Kinsey Fabrizio, president of CTA, praised Volvo Group’s leadership in sustainability, stating, “Volvo Group is playing a critical role in shaping a greener future with some of the most ambitious goals in the industry. We are eager to hear more about the partnerships driving breakthroughs in sustainable technology.”
CES 2025 promises to be a platform for groundbreaking announcements, and Volvo’s commitment to fossil-free transport is set to take center stage.
