Hong Kong nationals in the New Forest have launched a charitable campaign that successfully raised funds to purchase ten generators for Ukraine, which is currently experiencing a conflict.
The initiative, aimed at helping Ukrainians survive the winter, raised over £2,500 through a charity walk. All funds collected were donated to AidUkraineDirect, and the generators are scheduled for delivery on Friday, November 15.
Organizers of the campaign hope it will strengthen solidarity among the people of Hong Kong, Britain, and Ukraine. A spokesperson for the group emphasized that these communities share “the same values: democracy, individual liberty, and love.”
