On Friday, December 19, two off-duty Guardsmen from the Meghalaya Secretariat Home Guards successfully thwarted an attempted theft of a generator from the premises behind the 3rd Secretariat.
Lingbirth Arengh and Darmiki Langstang were passing by when they noticed suspicious activity near the area. Acting swiftly, they apprehended the individual who was caught in the act of stealing the generator.
