Jackery has announced an expansion of its energy product lineup at CES 2025, introducing a Solar Roof, a mid-sized solar generator, and a high-powered car charger designed for vans, pickups, and RVs. These new products aim to enhance energy solutions for both home use and outdoor adventures.
Solar Roof: Aesthetic and Durable
The standout product is the Solar Roof, which features curved tiles available in obsidian or terra-cotta red. The terra-cotta option closely resembles traditional clay-tiled roofs, offering a more appealing alternative to flat solar panels seen in Europe. Jackery claims the Solar Roof boasts an industry-leading cell conversion efficiency of over 25%. The panels are built to endure harsh conditions, including hail, high winds, and extreme temperatures ranging from -40°F to 185°F. Additionally, the Solar Roof comes with a 30-year warranty, ensuring long-term reliability.
The Solar Roof is designed to integrate with Jackery’s high-capacity energy storage systems, such as the existing 5000 Plus solar generator and the upcoming HomePower Energy System (ES). The HomePower ES, which requires professional installation, can deliver up to 11.4kW of power and supports both 120V and 240V loads. With its LFP batteries, the system offers a massive storage capacity of 123.2kWh—enough to power an average home for over four days during a blackout.
Explorer 3000 v2: Portable Power for Emergencies and Off-Grid Adventures
Jackery also introduced the Explorer 3000 v2, a mid-sized solar generator positioned below the 5000 Plus model. This portable unit is ideal for keeping essential devices, like refrigerators, running during power outages. It’s also a reliable power source for off-grid activities, such as camping or remote work.
The Explorer 3000 v2 features 3kWh of LFP battery storage and a sustained output of 3600W. Notably, it offers a 0ms UPS cutover time, ensuring uninterrupted power during outages. The generator can be recharged in approximately 11 hours using two 200W solar panels or in just 2.5 hours via an AC wall outlet. Charging via a 12V car socket takes nearly 36 hours, but Jackery’s new DC-DC car charger—also unveiled at CES 2025—can significantly speed up the process.
High-Powered DC-DC Car Charger
Jackery’s new DC-DC car charger is designed for vehicles like vans, pickups, and RVs. Once installed and connected to the vehicle’s battery, it delivers up to 600W of charging power—about five times faster than a standard 12V car socket. This makes it an efficient solution for keeping Jackery’s large portable batteries charged on the go.
Pricing and Availability Still Unclear
Despite the exciting announcements, Jackery has not provided details on pricing or availability for its new products. This lack of information leaves potential customers eager for more specifics.
With these innovations, Jackery continues to compete with industry leaders like Bluetti, EcoFlow, and DJI, offering versatile and robust energy solutions for both home and outdoor use.
