Skoda has unveiled the high-performance Kodiaq vRS, positioning it as the flagship model in the Kodiaq lineup. Alongside this, the company has introduced a new engine option for the SE L and Sportline variants, broadening the appeal of its popular seven-seater SUV.
The Kodiaq vRS boasts a range of premium features, including LED matrix headlights, keyless entry, and an electric tailgate with a virtual wave pedal. This innovative feature allows drivers to open the boot by simply waving their foot beneath the rear bumper. Externally, the vRS stands out with a gloss black finish on the radiator grille, D-pillar, and window surrounds. It also features redesigned front bumpers with a horizontal light strip, stainless steel exhaust tips, body-coloured side sills, and 20-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the vRS offers a sporty yet luxurious experience. It includes electrically adjustable sports seats with integrated headrests, a black headlining, and a three-spoke sports steering wheel. Under the hood, the vRS is powered by an upgraded 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, delivering 261bhp—a 20bhp increase over the previous model—and 400Nm of torque. This enables the SUV to accelerate from 0-60mph in just 6.2 seconds, with a top speed of 142mph.
In addition to the vRS, Skoda has introduced a new 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine for the SE L and Sportline models. This engine generates 201bhp and 320Nm of torque, providing a compelling alternative to the existing plug-in hybrid and diesel options. The new engine is expected to enhance the driving experience for those seeking a balance of performance and practicality in the seven-seater Kodiaq.
With these updates, Skoda continues to strengthen its Kodiaq range, catering to a diverse audience—from performance enthusiasts to families seeking versatility and efficiency.
