A public organization in Ukraine, alongside the Ukraine International Institute of Restoration (UIIR), has received a donation of two powerful generators from Finnish partners to support educational institutions across the country. The donation was made possible with funding from the Finnish organization Omri ry – Pro Ukraina, as announced on UIIR’s official Facebook page.
The first generator, a STAMFORD model with a capacity of 336 kW, was delivered to the Ukrainian Institute of Scientific and Technical Expertise and Information (UkrISTEI). This generator will help maintain the smooth operation of new research and training laboratories at the Teacher Retraining Center, ensuring continuous power supply.
The second generator, with a capacity of 356 kW, was handed over to the Kyiv National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (KNUCA). This equipment will enable the university, which trains specialists for the restoration and reconstruction of Ukraine, to operate efficiently despite the ongoing energy challenges in the country.
Vitaliy Molochko, head of UIIR, highlighted that these donations are part of efforts to create favorable conditions for the growth of education and science in Ukraine, which are crucial for the nation’s recovery after the devastation caused by the war.
He further emphasized that many educational institutions and research centers are struggling with energy shortages, which hinder the delivery of classes and practical training. The donated generators provide a vital solution, allowing these institutions to continue functioning even during extended power outages.
