Siemens Introduces MACHINUM at IMTEX 2025 to Boost Efficiency and Sustainability in Machine Tool Industry

Siemens has launched its MACHINUM digitalization portfolio at IMTEX 2025, targeting significant improvements in efficiency, speed, and sustainability for India’s machine tool industry. The new portfolio promises to reduce setup times by up to 20% and decrease cycle times and energy consumption by up to 18%.

At IMTEX 2025, Siemens also unveiled the upgraded 5th generation SINUMERIK 828D, featuring SINUMERIK Run MyVirtual Machine. This innovation allows users to create, validate, and optimize NC programs using a digital twin of the machine, cutting real machine setup time by up to 20% and reducing production risks. The system also offers faster program buffering, improved operator visibility, and advanced cybersecurity for safer operations.
