Sterlite Power has announced new orders worth ₹2,250 crore under its Global Products and Services (GPS) division, marking a significant step in strengthening India’s green energy transmission network and expanding its global footprint. The company stated that these orders represent its highest order book achievement in the current financial year.
In addition, Sterlite Power has secured L1 positions—indicating the lowest bidder status—for contracts worth ₹650 crore in the third quarter of FY25. The GPS division specializes in providing high-performance conductors, Optical Ground Wire (OPGW), power cables, and tailored Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) solutions.

Key Highlights of the New Orders
Overhead Conductor Business
Sterlite Power has secured significant orders for high-performance conductors, particularly for green energy transmission projects in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana, and Maharashtra. These projects aim to integrate 42 GW of renewable energy into the national grid, supporting India’s transition to clean energy. The company has also won OPGW contracts from the Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) and various state utilities, further cementing its role in the transmission sector.
Power Cables Division
The division has expanded its presence in the Medium Voltage (MV), High Voltage (HV), and Extra High Voltage (EHV) segments. New orders include supplying cables for state utility projects, showcasing the division’s growing influence in the wire and cable market.
Specialized EPC Services
Sterlite Power has secured key contracts from major utilities, including a 1,900 km OPGW installation project for PGCIL. The company has also won critical EPC contracts with Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) and Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation (GETCO).
