PURE EV, an Indian manufacturer of electric two-wheelers, has partnered with JioThings Limited, a subsidiary of Jio Platforms, to enhance its electric vehicles with advanced digital and telematics technology. The partnership aims to improve the rider experience with Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled features, such as real-time performance tracking, data analytics, and digital connectivity.
Under this collaboration, PURE EV will integrate JioThings’ 4G Smart Digital Cluster, which operates on AvniOS (based on the Android Open Source Project), into its electric scooters and motorcycles. This system provides customizable user interfaces, touchscreen compatibility, and seamless integration with IoT. Additionally, PURE EV’s vehicles will feature the Jio Automotive App Suite (JAAS), offering riders services like music streaming, navigation, web browsing, voice assistance, and gaming applications. These innovations are designed to create a more interactive and efficient electric mobility experience.
Dr. Nishanth Dongari, Founder and Managing Director of PURE EV, said, “The integration of JioThings’ IoT capabilities represents a significant advancement in making our electric two-wheelers more efficient and interactive. We remain committed to enhancing electric mobility in India.”
