Mumbai-based Ecofuel, a prominent player in sustainable fuel solutions, has announced its expansion into the heavy vehicle sector. After years of focusing on passenger vehicles, the company is now set to introduce cleaner and more efficient fuel technologies for heavy-duty transport. The initiative will support the adoption of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), and bio-CNG as viable alternatives, aiming to cut both carbon emissions and operational costs.
Virendra Vora, Founder and Chairman of Eco Fuel Systems, emphasized the significance of this expansion. “Our move into the heavy vehicle sector aligns with our mission to promote cleaner fuel solutions. Our advanced technology not only reduces emissions but also helps fleet operators achieve substantial cost savings,” he stated.
Ecofuel’s technology is designed to enhance fuel efficiency while lowering operating expenses for fleet operators. The company is actively collaborating with industry partners to refine its solutions and ensure they meet the evolving demands of the transport sector.
With a strong presence in India for 21 years, Ecofuel has installed over 400,000 sequential kits and sold more than 1 million Lovato kits nationwide. The company has established an extensive after-sales service network and adheres to European standards and BS-VI certification requirements.
Ecofuel is also making strides in environmental initiatives. Additionally, it has successfully converted more than 100 diesel heavy vehicles of Reliance Industries to CNG and is currently working on converting diesel buses to CNG for the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) in Mumbai.
Founded in 2003, Eco Fuel Systems (I) Pvt. Ltd. specializes in converting vehicles to CNG and LPG. As the exclusive importer and distributor of Lovato Gas SpA kits—part of the multinational company Landi Renzo—Ecofuel continues to lead the way in alternative fuel technologies. With a track record of over a million kits sold and a comprehensive after-sales service network, the company remains committed to advancing sustainable fuel solutions across a wide range of vehicles, from two-wheelers to heavy-duty transport.
