Hai Robotics has introduced the HaiPick Climb, a new robotic system designed to transform goods-to-person automation in warehouses and distribution centers. This cutting-edge solution enables businesses to easily retrofit existing facilities, boosting throughput and reducing both implementation time and costs. Offering a more affordable and scalable alternative to traditional Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), the HaiPick Climb enhances storage density and operational efficiency with minimal infrastructure changes.
The HaiPick Climb system revolves around the HaiClimber robot, a small but powerful climbing robot that operates in narrow aisles and retrieves totes from both sides of standard racking. Its compact design makes it easy to install, operate, and expand, providing businesses with a cost-effective way to automate their processes. With only minor adjustments required to existing facilities, HaiPick Climb opens up automation options for a broader range of warehouses.

The system works by attaching climbing channels to one side of the racking. The robots then move up and down to retrieve totes from both sides of narrow aisles. This design minimizes the need for extensive floor modifications and maximizes space efficiency. HaiPick Climb is also highly scalable, allowing warehouses to grow their automation capabilities without interrupting operations.
By eliminating the need for human travel during order picking, the system automatically delivers totes to ergonomic workstations. The intuitive interface ensures fast and accurate picking, with an accuracy rate of over 99%. The HaiClimber robots are easy to maintain, with accessible components that do not require specialized tools, simplifying upkeep.
HaiPick Climb also delivers impressive throughput, processing up to 4,000 totes per hour in a 1,000-square-meter space. With speeds reaching 4 meters per second and climbing rates of 1 meter per second, the system can deliver totes to workstations 34% faster than traditional ASRS solutions, enabling businesses to extend order cutoff times for same-day fulfillment.
In terms of storage, the system maximizes space, supporting up to 30,000 storage locations in just 1,000 square meters. With totes able to be stored up to 12 meters high, the system provides 35% more vertical storage capacity than leading ASRS systems. Narrow aisles further reduce storage footprints by up to 75%, optimizing warehouse space.
