Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) has marked a major achievement in sustainable and safe demolition with the delivery of its EC380DLUHR High-Reach Demolition Excavator to United Saw Services (USS) in Jeedimetla, Hyderabad. As Volvo’s tallest and most advanced high-reach machine, the EC380DLUHR is designed to offer precision, stability, and improved safety for demolition tasks.
The machine features a CR-20 concrete crusher and boasts an impressive 23-meter reach, which helps reduce dust, noise, and vibration during demolition. This makes it an ideal choice for the controlled demolition of a 50,000-square-foot, three-story building that was damaged by fire. The project, set in an urban environment, requires high levels of accuracy and reliability.
Key figures present at the handover ceremony included Sanu George, Market Area Head for South and West India at Volvo CE, and S.N. Vinod Kumar of United Saw Services. Special guests at the event included Mohan Ramanathan, Founder Chairman of the Indian Demolition Association (IDA), and Zaki Ahamed, a structural consultant.
