At the 2025 TIMTOS, an international machine tool exhibition held in Taiwan, TDT Machine Tools Ltd, based in Rugby, was officially appointed the UK agent for AWEA CNC milling machines. TDT’s sales director Phil Terry and sales manager Tim Stell traveled to TIMTOS to finalize the agreement with AWEA’s international sales manager, Kevin Lin.
Terry expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to introduce AWEA Mechatronic Co Ltd back to the UK market. There is growing demand for high-quality twin column and five-axis CNC milling machines, especially in the aerospace, power generation, and defense industries. We’ve been searching for a premium milling brand to complement our You Ji range of vertical ram lathes, and AWEA is the perfect match.”
Stell also shared his optimism: “The early signs are very promising. We’ve already sold two AWEA machines in the UK, but there’s much more to come. During our visit to TIMTOS, we toured the AWEA factory to observe the production process, and we were very impressed by their manufacturing facility.”
AWEA, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary at TIMTOS, is part of the Goodway Group, marking its 50th year. The company’s extensive range includes five-axis machining centers, multi-faceted machining centers, horizontal machining centers, bridge machining centers, and standard vertical machining centers.
One of AWEA’s latest innovations, an automated pallet-changing system with 15 zero-point pallets across a five-axis range, has gained popularity in high-volume production environments. AWEA’s machines are used in various industries such as aerospace, defense, automotive, shipbuilding, energy, electronics, communications, and mold making.
