Jackson Square Aviation (JSA), one of the leading global aircraft leasing companies, has placed its first direct order with Airbus for 50 A320neo Family aircraft. This marks a significant milestone for JSA, making it a new customer for the aircraft manufacturer.
Kevin McDonald, CEO of JSA, expressed excitement about the deal, stating, “This is a key moment for JSA as we continue our leadership in global aircraft sales and leaseback financing, particularly for Airbus aircraft. We look forward to deepening our relationship with Airbus and adding the A320neo to our long-term fleet plans, which will help us provide top-notch fleet and capital solutions to airlines worldwide.”
Benoit de Saint-Exupéry, Executive Vice President of Airbus’ Commercial Aircraft business, welcomed the partnership, saying, “Jackson Square Aviation is known for its strong client base, and we are pleased to have them join the Airbus family. After a careful evaluation, JSA’s choice of the A320neo brings the leading single-aisle aircraft, known for its performance and passenger comfort, into their portfolio.”
JSA is part of Mitsubishi HC Capital Group, a Japanese global leasing company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The A320neo Family is the world’s most popular single-aisle aircraft, with over 19,000 orders globally. This family includes the A321neo, the largest version, known for its exceptional range and performance.
The A320neo Family offers significant environmental benefits, including a 50% reduction in noise levels and at least a 20% savings in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared to previous models. It also ensures greater passenger comfort with one of the widest cabins in the single-aisle category. Additionally, the A320neo can currently use up to 50% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and is expected to operate on 100% SAF by 2030.
