Fanuc, a global leader in industrial automation, has extended its long-standing partnership with Irish firm J L Goor Machinery. The collaboration, which has thrived for over 20 years, will now include Fanuc’s Robodrill CNC machining centers, alongside its established Roboshot injection molding machines.
A Proven Partnership
Since 2002, J L Goor has been Fanuc’s exclusive Irish distributor for Roboshot all-electric injection molding machines, with more than 700 units installed nationwide.
The new agreement expands their offering to Robodrill CNC machines, targeting key sectors such as:
- Medical devices
- Aerospace
- Automotive components
- Precision engineering
Growth and Investment
J L Goor recently opened a 1,200m² Centre of Excellence in Mullingar, featuring:
- Electrical design and fabrication facilities
- Machinery testing and customization
- A dedicated training and mold-testing center
The expansion follows record sales this year, reinforcing J L Goor’s position as Ireland’s top supplier of injection molding solutions.
Industry Demand Drives Expansion
Conor O’Kelly, Fanuc Ireland Manager, said:
“Many of our customers need both polymer molding and metal machining solutions, especially in medical and aerospace manufacturing. This partnership extension is a natural step, and we expect J L Goor to excel in CNC machining just as they have in molding.”
Phil Watters, Managing Director of J L Goor, added:
“Irish manufacturers demand zero-defect precision and reliable equipment. With Fanuc’s Robodrill, we can now support precision engineering with the same expertise we’ve provided in molding for decades.”
New Hire to Drive CNC Growth
To meet rising demand, J L Goor has appointed Noel Bracken, an experienced machining specialist, as a new sales lead.
Bracken stated:
“The Robodrill can revolutionize drilling, milling, and polishing for medical and aerospace firms. We’re eager to help manufacturers boost productivity, cut costs, and save energy.”
Looking Ahead
The expanded partnership strengthens Fanuc’s footprint in Ireland, offering manufacturers end-to-end automation solutions for both plastics and metals processing. With J L Goor’s expertise and Fanuc’s technology, Irish industries are set to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.
