Bharat Forge Limited has secured its largest domestic contract to date, with a significant order from the Ministry of Defence for 184 Advanced Towed Artillery Gun Systems (ATAGS). This deal constitutes 60% of the ₹6,900 crore procurement by the Ministry. The ATAGS, a state-of-the-art 155/52 mm artillery system, was developed in collaboration with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
Baba Kalyani, Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Forge, expressed pride in the achievement, emphasizing that this milestone contributes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of an “Atmanirbhar Bharat” (self-reliant India) in defense. He thanked the Ministry of Defence, the Indian Army, DRDO, the Armament Research and Development Establishment (ARDE), and the Bharat Forge team for their support and collaboration in bringing the project to life.
