Huddersfield-based Bespoke Stairlifts Ltd, a company specializing in custom stairlifts, is set to accelerate its international growth following a seven-figure funding boost from HSBC UK. This investment will help the company expand its workforce by 25% over the next year, while also enhancing its manufacturing capabilities.
The funding, which includes working capital through invoice and trade finance, will allow Bespoke Stairlifts to invest in new machinery and technology. The goal is to increase production capacity and meet the growing demand for its products, which are already exported to over 70 countries, including North America, the French Caribbean, India, and various parts of Europe.
The company is also forecasting a 30% rise in turnover, which is expected to reach £17 million by 2025.

The funding deal was arranged by HSBC UK’s senior relationship manager Ash Khan and business development manager Simon Kitchingman. Bespoke Stairlifts operates from three locations in West Yorkshire, with a full-scale manufacturing facility in Huddersfield, and additional sites in Bradford and Bingley. With the recent expansion, the company’s production capacity has tripled from 12,000 sq. ft. to 36,000 sq. ft. The company now employs more than 130 staff members.
