Meltio, a leading manufacturer of laser metal deposition technology, has announced ACNS as the first official integrator of the Meltio Engine Blue in France. This partnership is set to enhance industrial applications through both hybrid manufacturing and robotic metal additive manufacturing (AM).
Founded in 1993, ACNS specializes in the design, renovation, integration, and development of industrial machinery and numerical controls. With over 900 projects completed, the company has gained international recognition for its expertise in automation, robotics, numerical controls, and industrial data connection. ACNS operates from Milly-la-Forêt, south of Paris, and employs a team of 20 engineers.
Multistation SAS, Meltio’s sales partner in France, will support ACNS in this effort. ACNS will integrate the Meltio Engine Blue into vertical machining centers and industrial robotic arms using the Meltio Engine Integration kit. This integration will play a crucial role in making this advanced technology accessible to the French market. The Meltio Engine Blue enhances both CNC machines and robotic systems, offering cutting-edge metal AM capabilities for a wide range of industries.
Meltio’s technology uses a multi-metal 3D printing process that precisely layers weld beads on top of each other in a laser-generated meltpool. This method utilizes commodity welding wire, which is considered the cleanest, safest, and most cost-effective metal feedstock available.
A Breakthrough Technology
Emmanuel Mignot, CEO of ACNS, expressed excitement about the new partnership with Meltio. “We are pleased to begin integrating the innovative Meltio Engine Blue into CNC and robotic systems, benefiting French industries. We are impressed by the system’s efficiency, which makes it easier for non-experts to quickly master 3D printing with a variety of metals.”
Mignot added, “Our goal is to expand our WLAM offering and grow the French market. We are committed to designing smart, ergonomic machines that meet our customers’ needs. We believe there is a strong business case for repairing parts, adding functions to existing parts, or quickly producing custom parts. Our deep expertise in CNC and robotics ensures our customers’ success in their innovative projects.”
Francisco González, Head of EMEA at Meltio, also shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration. “We are excited to work with ACNS and Multistation in France. This partnership highlights how Meltio’s ecosystem is evolving. Together, we will meet the growing demand for Meltio’s technology and its applications, while leveraging ACNS’s expertise to drive the adoption of our unique wire-laser metal AM across various industries.”
