Accenture and Siemens have strengthened their long-standing partnership to help clients reshape engineering and manufacturing processes. The two companies unveiled the Accenture Siemens Business Group at Hannover Messe 2025. This new initiative brings together 7,000 professionals with expertise in both manufacturing and IT to offer innovative solutions that combine Siemens’ advanced technology and Accenture’s data-driven capabilities.
Roland Busch, President and CEO of Siemens, emphasized the importance of this collaboration. “By combining Siemens’ technology and industrial AI with Accenture’s expertise in data and AI, we will help clients across industries speed up their operations and integrate AI into the heart of their processes,” he said.
Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO of Accenture, also highlighted the significance of this new business group. “Engineering and manufacturing are key to digital transformation,” she said. “Together with Siemens, we will help clients improve speed, reduce costs, and enhance their digital capabilities, driving innovation and value.”
The two companies have a history of successful collaborations. For example, they helped KION Group, a leader in supply chain solutions, by integrating Siemens’ Teamcenter as a unified product lifecycle management (PLM) platform. This collaboration has improved KION’s engineering capabilities through simulation, generative AI, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
In another example, Accenture and Siemens worked with Navantia, a Spanish shipbuilding and defense company, to create a product development platform that uses Siemens’ Teamcenter and Capital Logic Designer. This platform has allowed Navantia to develop digital twins of its vessels, improving design quality and reducing manufacturing costs by 20%.
The Accenture Siemens Business Group will focus on industries like aerospace, defense, automotive, consumer products, electronics, and semiconductors. The group plans to introduce new services that will transform engineering and research and development (R&D) processes. This includes helping clients establish global engineering centers and accelerate the use of software-defined products.
In manufacturing, the group will assist clients in implementing and optimizing manufacturing execution systems. These systems will enable better real-time tracking and control of production. The collaboration will also support AI-powered operations and automation, while strengthening cybersecurity for operational technology systems through managed security services like Accenture’s Managed Extended Detection and Response (MxDR) platform.
Additionally, the Accenture Siemens Business Group will deploy Accenture’s Industry X digital engineering tools. These tools will help clients build AI agents and pre-built models for applications such as simulation and robotics, ultimately streamlining product development and improving efficiency in product lifecycle management (PLM) and industrial asset management.
Generative AI will play a key role in this transformation by enhancing product development processes and boosting innovation.
