DCM Shriram has successfully launched a new caustic soda flakes plant in Jhagadia, Bharuch district, Gujarat, with a production capacity of 300 tonnes per day (TPD). This addition increases the Bharuch facility’s total caustic soda flakes production capacity to 900 TPD, making it one of India’s largest single-location plants for caustic soda flakes, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The new plant, which mirrors one opened in October 2024, utilizes flexi-fuel technology. This allows the plant to operate using various fuel sources, improving both sustainability and operational efficiency.
