Rockwell Automation (NYSE: ROK), a leader in industrial automation and digital transformation, has joined forces with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to accelerate the digital shift in manufacturing. This collaboration combines Rockwell’s operational technology (OT) expertise with AWS’s cloud services and infrastructure, offering manufacturers secure, scalable, and adaptable solutions. These solutions aim to boost asset performance, improve operational visibility, and convert raw data into actionable insights.
The integration of Rockwell’s automation technologies with AWS’s cloud capabilities will help manufacturers advance their digital initiatives. AWS has already made significant investments in industries like life sciences, automotive, and consumer goods, and this partnership will help both companies better serve shared customers. By connecting factory data to the cloud, manufacturers can unlock powerful analytics, AI tools, and industrial software applications.
“Manufacturers need flexible, scalable, and secure solutions to stay competitive in today’s fast-changing industrial world,” said Nicole Denil, Vice President of Global Market Access at Rockwell Automation. “Our partnership with AWS will deliver AI-powered insights, edge-to-cloud integration, and groundbreaking automation technologies, allowing our customers to choose the best cloud platform for their needs.”
As part of the partnership, Rockwell is expanding its software-as-a-service offerings within FactoryTalk® Hub to AWS. This includes the launch of DataMosaix™ industrial DataOps and Fiix® CMMS solutions on the AWS Marketplace, with more FactoryTalk Hub products expected later this year.
“Our partnership with Rockwell combines AWS’s leadership in cloud computing with their extensive industrial automation expertise,” said Ozgur Tohumcu, General Manager of Automotive and Manufacturing at AWS. “Together, we’re helping manufacturers accelerate decision-making, optimize operations, and turn operational data into real-time insights using AWS cloud intelligence. This collaboration is more than just deploying technology; we are building the foundation for more agile, efficient, and competitive manufacturing enterprises.”
