Artec 3D, a leading global provider of professional 3D scanning solutions, has launched its latest product, the Artec Point 3D scanner, in India. The event took place in New Delhi and was held in partnership with the Luxembourg Embassy and Artec’s long-standing Indian partner, Altem Technologies.
The Artec Point is a high-precision, ISO-certified laser 3D scanner designed for detailed tasks like reverse engineering, inspection, and product design. It offers an impressive accuracy of up to 20 microns, enabling it to capture accurate data on challenging surfaces such as black, glossy materials and complex shapes.
This scanner is ideal for professionals in industries like aerospace, automotive, healthcare, education, and cultural preservation. It can be used in a variety of applications, including quality assurance, additive manufacturing, medical development, and heritage digitization. With its durable metal body, the scanner is built for both field and lab use. It offers three scanning modes for flexibility, along with a 120 FPS capture speed and an easy-to-use interface that makes data collection fast and reliable across different projects.
Andrei Vakulenko, Chief Business Development Officer at Artec 3D, spoke about the launch, saying, “India is a key market for industrial digitization and innovation. The introduction of the Artec Point here highlights our long-term commitment and confidence in India’s potential.”
Abhishek Kalra, Associate Vice President – Technical at Altem Technologies, added, “We’re thrilled to introduce this advanced tool to Indian professionals. Artec Point is not just a scanner; it’s a platform for innovation, collaboration, and skill development in various industries.”
