CWIEME Berlin Reveals Key Speakers and Themes for 2025 Event

by sthv

CWIEME Berlin, the world’s largest event for the coil winding, electric motor, transformer, generator, and e-mobility sectors, has announced the first round of industry leaders who will speak at this year’s event. The event, set to take place at Messe Berlin from June 3–5, will bring together some of the top experts in electrical engineering to tackle six critical industry topics.

In a first for CWIEME, which typically attracts over 6,700 visitors, Franziska Giffey, Mayor of Berlin and Senator for Economic Affairs, Energy, and Public Enterprises, will deliver a keynote speech on Berlin’s role in Europe’s green industrial transformation. Helen Watts, Executive Director of Student Energy and a ‘Forbes 30 Under 30’ honoree, will encourage the industry to rethink its approach to the next generation of engineers.

This year’s event will place a strong focus on engineering talent. Two key programs — Women in Engineering and Future Engineers — will return, featuring panel discussions and networking opportunities. The Future Engineers program will also offer a chance to attend a sponsored course at the Transformers Academy.

The talent gap remains one of the industry’s most pressing challenges, especially as the demand for skilled engineers continues to rise. With over 70 visionary speakers and six dynamic themes, CWIEME Berlin offers attendees a rare chance to hear from and connect with the engineers, policymakers, and innovators shaping the future of energy systems.
