British power generator Drax (DRX.L) has announced that it expects its annual profit to reach the upper limit of market forecasts. This projection follows a substantial profit increase in the first half of the year, driven by robust demand for renewable energy.
Drax, the UK’s largest renewable power producer by output, revealed that its adjusted core profit for 2024 is anticipated to surpass analysts’ consensus of £961 million ($1.24 billion), based on company-compiled data. This optimistic outlook highlights the growing reliance on renewable energy sources and Drax’s leading role in the sector.
