A generator has been brought to Mellieħa from Gozo to restore power following a substation failure that led to an overload and subsequent power cut in the popular seaside town.
Mellieħa Mayor Gabriel Micallef took to Facebook to inform residents about the cause of the unexpected outage. Responding to concerned comments on his post, Micallef assured residents that the generator was en route, stating, “it should be there.”
Micallef expressed his gratitude to the Enemalta workers for their prompt response, while residents thanked the mayor for his efforts to address the situation swiftly.
Despite the updates provided by Mayor Micallef and the active discussion among residents on social media, official channels have yet to release any statement regarding the power cut. Enemalta has not responded to inquiries as of the time of publication.
