In a remarkable display of logistical prowess, a special train transporting 1000MW generator stators, manufactured by Shanghai Electric Group, departed from Shanghai Minhang Railway Station and successfully arrived at Luling Station in Anhui Province after a two-day journey. These generator stators, weighing an impressive 408 tons, represent the heaviest cargo currently transported on the entire railway network.
To accommodate the unique requirements of transporting these massive generator stators, the Shanghai Railway Logistics Center utilized the largest 28-axle DQ45 clamp-type truck in China. The Logistics Center coordinated closely with various units within the group company, expediting the technical plan evaluation for the safe railway transportation of the 1000MW generator stators, significantly reducing the time costs for the company.
To ensure the safe and efficient transport of these large-scale generator stators, the Youth League Committee of the Shanghai Railway Logistics Center established a youth commando team. This team liaised with transportation and production enterprises, leading the coordination efforts among different departments involved in the large-scale transportation project. Guided by the center’s professional departments and directors, the team pre-measured the cargo size, developed a loading and reinforcement plan, and ensured the DQ45 special vehicle arrived at the loading site on time. The loading process was meticulously executed according to the cargo size and plan requirements.
With the successful delivery of the generator stators, the reliability of the Anhui power grid is expected to improve, meeting the growing demand for residential electricity and supporting the social and economic development of Anhui Province.
