Lawson Electric Company has announced a groundbreaking collaboration with Dragon Wings to introduce the world’s first industrial-strength solar generator, designed for rapid deployment and versatile use. This innovative product, being manufactured in Chattanooga, is set to revolutionize portable power solutions across various sectors including weather management, disaster response, electric vehicle (EV) charging, events, and construction.

The cutting-edge solar generators, crafted with advanced clean technology, are delivered fully charged and ready for immediate deployment. The units feature a quick setup process, with Dragon Wings opening within just two minutes to deliver power, and can be operational within five minutes of arrival. Designed for ease of maintenance and remote management, these units automatically fold at night or in extreme weather conditions. The generators have been tested in diverse settings, from construction sites to festivals, and even offer power and shade in parking lots. Their design also allows them to be stacked on shipping containers, providing a range of practical applications.

Bill Crawford, President and CEO of Lawson Electric, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, which began through an introduction by Dragon Wings founder Ryan Wartena. Lawson’s expertise in pre-fabrication, including assembly, welding, wiring, and painting, made them an ideal partner. “We’re thrilled to offer a product that can be operational in under 10 minutes and immediately start generating electricity. Partnering with Dragon Wings has been a fantastic experience, and we’re eager to make a significant impact both in terms of electrical solutions and environmental benefits,” Crawford stated.

Ryan Wartena, founder of Dragon Wings, praised Lawson Electric’s production capabilities and workforce. “Lawson has demonstrated all the necessary skills for our production needs. As an emerging heavy equipment start-up, we’re excited to scale up with their support. Our units transition from pre-fabrication to operational status in approximately a week and a half, and we’re very pleased with our progress and the partnership,” Wartena noted.

Dragon Wings’ parent company, Southern Beams Builds, based in San Francisco, is spearheading this innovative venture. The initial units are set to debut at the Burning Man Festival in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert. “Burning Man presents an ideal opportunity for Dragon Wings,” Wartena added. “Attendees will benefit from shade, phone charging, and power for events, showcasing the endless possibilities of this clean technology.”

This partnership marks a significant milestone in portable energy solutions, promising to meet a wide range of needs while promoting sustainable practices.
