Red Funnel’s Red Jet service has experienced a setback this Wednesday morning due to technical difficulties. The high-speed ferry, which operates between West Cowes and Southampton, has faced at least six cancellations following a generator malfunction on the Red Jet 7.
The operator confirmed that the issue with the vessel’s generator was the cause of the disruptions. Affected sailings include the 06:05, 07:15, and 08:25 crossings from Southampton, as well as the 06:40, 08:25, and 09:00 departures from West Cowes.
As of now, there is no information on whether further disruptions will occur later in the day.
