Danfoss Power Solutions has announced the appointment of Sriram (Shree) Gurumurthy as the new Senior Vice President of Global Operations, effective immediately. In this newly created role, Gurumurthy will spearhead efforts to enhance efficiency and operational effectiveness, aiming for optimal performance and profitable growth across Danfoss Power Solutions.
Gurumurthy will oversee critical business functions, including safety, environmental health and safety, quality management, supply chain operations, manufacturing footprint strategy, Danfoss Business Systems, indirect procurement, manufacturing systems and services, distribution centers, and corporate communications and events.
Bringing over 25 years of experience in manufacturing within the automotive and hydraulics sectors, Gurumurthy joined Eaton Corporation in 2007, where he held various leadership positions in plant management, operations, and global manufacturing strategy. Following Danfoss’s acquisition of Eaton Hydraulics in 2021, he was appointed as the global head of operations for Danfoss’s Rubber Hydraulic Hose and Fittings business unit within the Fluid Conveyance division.
Most recently, Gurumurthy served as Vice President of Global Manufacturing Strategy, focusing on the growth and effective management of the company’s manufacturing footprint. He will continue to report directly to Eric Alström, the president of Danfoss Power Solutions, and will join the Power Solutions Leadership Team.
“Throughout my years in manufacturing, I’ve seen what works and what doesn’t in driving operational excellence,” Gurumurthy remarked. “Applying standardized processes, tools, and systems has proven effective, and I’m committed to ensuring our functions are exceptional in this regard.”
Alström praised Gurumurthy’s strategic thinking and leadership, particularly in guiding post-merger initiatives. “Shree has demonstrated a keen mind for operational improvement that will now benefit a broader segment of our organization. I look forward to witnessing the positive impact he will make in this new role.”
