Flash Battery, an Italian manufacturer specializing in lithium batteries for industrial machinery and electric vehicles, has officially opened its U.S. subsidiary, Flash Battery Inc., with a new office and warehouse located in Houston, Texas.
Established in 2023, Flash Battery Inc. aims to enhance the company’s footprint in the U.S. market, where it currently derives 35% of its turnover through direct and indirect sales, including batteries integrated into machinery and industrial vehicles.
“The selection of Houston as our headquarters is a strategic move that aligns with our growth plans and enhances our aftersales service to support the rapidly expanding American, Mexican, and Canadian markets,” said Marco Righi, CEO and co-founder of Flash Battery.
Righi noted that the Texas location will facilitate support for E80 Group, a leading multinational in intralogistics solutions based in Reggio Emilia. E80 Group is not only a key customer but also a vital development partner, experiencing significant success in the U.S. market.
While all research and production will continue at Flash Battery’s headquarters in Sant’Ilario d’Enza, the Houston office will focus on strengthening customer relations, gathering market insights for future innovations, and providing timely remote and on-site support.
“The new Texas subsidiary positions us to seize growth opportunities in the U.S., particularly in the construction and logistics automation sectors,” Righi explained. “We are also keenly interested in the airport market, especially vehicles that facilitate the movement of goods and people.”
Righi will chair the Board of Directors for the new subsidiary, with members including Filippo Di Gregorio, Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Andrea Pongolini, Executive Vice President of Sales (EVP) for E80 Group in the U.S.
