Webtec, a leader in hydraulic measurement and control technology, has introduced the HPM5000, a versatile mid-size data logger designed for diagnosing, maintaining, and testing mobile and industrial machinery. The HPM5000 offers a comprehensive solution for fault detection, preventive maintenance, pre-dispatch inspections, R&D, and test stand applications.

This rugged and compact device boasts a 4.3-inch anti-glare color touchscreen, which can be operated with gloves, and large tactile buttons for ease of use in tough conditions. Designed to be both intuitive and durable, the HPM5000 provides technicians with immediate access to crucial hydraulic system data.

Equipped with three pressure transducers, the data logger can connect to any standard pressure test point, instantly displaying actual, peak, and differential pressure values. Additionally, users can expand its capabilities with optional sensors to measure flow, temperature, speed, and contamination levels.

The HPM5000 supports VESA standard mounting for integration with test stands and can connect to an external PC for real-time monitoring on larger displays. It accommodates up to six Webtec plug-and-play CAN sensors (12 channels) and two auxiliary analog sensors. The device also features two calculated channels that allow users to perform operations such as subtraction, addition, and multiplication on data readings, making it ideal for complex tasks like pressure, temperature, and flow assessments.

With a data recording capacity of up to seven days, the HPM5000 adjusts its storage time based on available memory and sampling rates. Data can be easily transferred via USB for deeper analysis, making it invaluable for tasks such as hydraulic system setup and identifying issues in prototype machines with high-inertia loads.

The data logger is compatible with Webtec’s HPMComm 7.6 software, allowing users to export or live-stream data to a Windows PC for advanced analysis and reporting. The device is rated IP65 for protection against dust and water, and it operates efficiently in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +50°C.

Webtec’s HPM5000 offers a robust, user-friendly solution for hydraulic system diagnostics, catering to a wide range of industrial and mobile machinery applications.
