Tim Possley, host of the Uncle Tim Show on WQUD in Erie, has taken a hands-on approach to helping victims of Hurricane Helene. He raised over $20,000 for generators and equipment, along with more than $15,000 in cash donations for those affected.

On Tuesday, Possley left Erie to personally deliver the generators and cash to the victims.

He was surprised by the strong community response. “I started talking about the damage caused by Hurricane Helene, and someone said, ‘You have a microphone; you can use that platform,’” Possley shared. “I was amazed at the response. People just started walking into the station with cash donations. It was clear that people wanted to help.”

Possley partnered with Brenny’s Motorcycle Clinic in Bettendorf, which provided some generators and contributed to the fundraising. Patriot Relief, a group based in North Carolina, also made donations to support the cause.
