On Sunday, November 17, 2024, the Hinkley Point C project reached a significant milestone with the arrival of the first turbine generator stator from France.
Weighing 450 tonnes and measuring 12 meters in length, the stator will convert the turbine’s mechanical energy into electricity.
The stator, the largest ever built by EDF subsidiary Arabelle Solutions, was transported from the Belfort factory in France via road, rail, and sea.
This is the first of two stators being delivered to Hinkley Point C, with one for each turbine.
