Adani Green Energy Ltd. has announced the commissioning of two renewable energy projects in Khavda, Gujarat, marking a significant milestone in the company’s growth. Following these commissions, Adani Green Energy’s total operational renewable generation capacity has reached 11,608.9 megawatts, as reported in an exchange filing.
The first project, a 62.4 megawatt wind power component, was commissioned by Adani Renewable Energy Forty Eight Ltd. It forms part of a larger wind-solar hybrid project at Khavda. The second project, a 112.5 megawatt solar power plant, was commissioned by Adani Green Energy Twenty Four A Ltd., another subsidiary. The solar plant began operations on December 28.
In addition, Adani Green Energy has incorporated a new subsidiary, Adani Green Energy Sixty Eight Ltd. (AGE68L), aimed at further expanding its renewable power generation capacity. AGE68L will focus on generating, developing, and distributing power through renewable energy sources, including wind, solar, and other green alternatives. The new subsidiary is currently in its early stages of development and has not yet begun operations.
