Russia’s state nuclear agency, Rosatom, has announced the completion of essential tasks for Unit-1 of the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) in Bangladesh. The agency confirmed that the unit is now ready to begin operations in 2024.
Rosatom described 2024 as a landmark year for its work in Bangladesh, highlighting the successful completion of construction and installation for one of the Rooppur NPP’s power units.
The second power unit of the country’s first nuclear power plant has also made significant strides in its construction and installation, with progress continuing towards its completion.
