First Tellurium’s PyroDelta Thermoelectric Generator Achieves Breakthrough in High-Temperature Performance

by sthv

First Tellurium Corp. (CSE: FTEL, OTC: FSTTF) has announced groundbreaking results from recent tests of its PyroDelta thermoelectric generator. The device has demonstrated the ability to operate at extreme temperatures of up to 900 degrees Celsius (1650 degrees Fahrenheit), far surpassing the limits of existing thermoelectric technologies. Developed by PyroDelta Energy, a majority-owned subsidiary of First Tellurium, the generator maintained functionality without any material breakdown at these unprecedented heat levels.

Michael Abdelmaseh, Head Engineer at PyroDelta, emphasized the significance of this achievement. “Operating at 900 degrees Celsius means this generator can potentially power almost any industrial or technological application,” he said. “Even at 600 degrees Celsius, it exceeds the demands of the most extreme industrial scenarios. To my knowledge, no other commercially available thermoelectric device can withstand such conditions without failing.”

In comparison, conventional thermoelectric devices typically fail or melt at temperatures around 150 degrees Celsius, making the PyroDelta generator a game-changer in the field. To showcase its durability, PyroDelta released a demonstration video highlighting the generator’s ability to endure direct heat from a propane torch. The same video also shows a standard thermoelectric module breaking down under much lower heat from a hot air soldering gun.

Abdelmaseh explained that the generator’s resilience opens up new possibilities for harnessing waste heat in high-temperature industrial processes. “This technology allows us to explore applications in industries like industrial furnaces and kilns, where waste heat can be converted into a reliable source of clean, renewable energy,” he said.
