Heavy machinery manufacturer JCB is targeting double-digit growth in India following the introduction of its new Stage 5 emission-compliant construction equipment, a senior company official announced on Sunday.
Speaking at the launch event, JCB India CEO and Managing Director Deepak Shetty highlighted the benefits of the new machinery. He stated that the Stage 5-ready machines could help customers save up to Rs 18.5 lakh in fuel costs over five years.
“We are thrilled to introduce our Stage 5-ready machines, which offer 10 to 15% better fuel efficiency. These machines are not only more productive but also have lower maintenance costs, resulting in a reduced total cost of ownership for our customers and operators,” Shetty explained.
With the launch of the new range, JCB will phase out older models. However, Shetty assured that the company will continue to provide support for existing equipment throughout their operational lifespan.
The new machines are equipped with Roll-over Protective Structure (ROPS) technology, designed to enhance operator safety in the event of a machine rollover. This feature underscores JCB’s commitment to both performance and safety in its latest product line.
The introduction of Stage 5-compliant equipment marks a significant step for JCB as it seeks to strengthen its market position in India while addressing evolving environmental standards.
