Chippenham-based Dymag Technologies Ltd, a subsidiary of Borbet GmbH, has announced the appointment of Ian Harnett as its new non-executive director. With nearly 40 years of experience in the automotive industry, Harnett’s expertise is expected to support Dymag’s strategic growth plans.
Harnett’s career includes significant leadership roles at Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), where he oversaw global purchasing and human resources. During his tenure, he played a key role in expanding JLR’s operations, doubling its workforce, and boosting production and sales. He also led the transition team when JLR was separated from Ford, showcasing his ability to manage complex corporate changes.
Chris Shelley, executive chair of Dymag Technologies, praised Harnett’s appointment, stating, “Ian brings exceptional industry knowledge and strategic insight, which will be invaluable as we advance our innovations in automotive wheel technology, particularly in the premium performance and luxury OEM sector.”
